MUTUA ALLEGES SENATOR MUTHAMA VOWED TO FRUSTRATE HIS DEVELOPMENT

Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua today accused Senator Johnstone Muthama of attempting to deliberately frustrate the multi-billion development plan because of petty politics. Dr Mutua has revealed that the Senator has tried to influence him to cut deals from the money allocated to counties but he allegedly rebuffed him.

“He has told me at a function held at the panafric hotel during the elections campaign period that he would never support my plans since I did not kneel down before him and seek for his permission as a king maker of Ukambani before declaring my candidature”

Dr Mutua further adds that Muthama was the only one who opposed to the creation of New Machakos City. And in February, at the former vice president Kalonzo Musyoka’s residence, Mutua says Muthama told him that he will never work with him because “I don’t know how to cut deals with the money counties were to be allocated”.

Mutua terms Muthama case as politically motivated and intended to frustrate his development ideas in the Machakos County. He adds that the case will scare investors in Machakos County and others parts of the country, which would hamper fight against poverty.

He claims that Machakos senator told him before Machakos town member of the parliament Dr Victor Munyaka that he doesn’t know how politics are managed and he will be useless leader who doesn’t understand money in the government is first for politics and politicians.
