Two people were today charged in a Nairobi court of forging a certain document in the name of Kenya Defence forces.
Benson Boiyo and Gideon Mureithi were accused of having the intent to defraud, forged a document namely Kenya Defence Forces identity card serial number000019197 of Kenya Air Force service number 19400 on the November 6 at unknown place in Kenya.
According to the prosecution the accused forged the identity card in the name of Benson Boiyo purporting it to be a genuine and valid identity card issued by the Kenya Defence Forces.
Benson Boiyo was also charged on the same date with fraudulently uttering a certain document namely the Kenya defence forces identity card property of the Kenya Air Force service in his name to another name of Lawrence Kaburu a sales staff agent with the Kenya commercial bank Eastleigh branch in Nairobi.
The court also heard that on the date and place Benson falsely presented himself to be an employee of the Kenya Defence Forces of the rank of Major Service number 19400 to Lawrence Kaburu a sales staff agent with the said Kenya commercial bank.
They denied the charges before chief magistrate Kiarie Waweru and were released on a bond of sh 200,000 each and a surety of similar amount.
The case will be mentioned on November 28.
