The hearing of bail application by four Westgate terror suspects was postponed to November 28 as one of them pleaded that he was an innocent Kenyan implicated with involvement in the attack.Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Warui Mungai has objected to the release of the four suspects on the basis they may interfere with the investigations. There was real risk of another terror attack in case the suspects secured their liberty, he told Nairobi Chief Magistrate, Kiarie Waweru Kiarie. One of the suspects, Adan Abdikadir Adan, has filed a sworn statement denying complicity with the perpetrators of the terrorist attack that cost 74 lives during the four-day siege of the popular upmarket shopping complex located in Westlands, Nairobi. He has disowned fake names assigned to him by the police and said he does not know anyone by the names Adan Mohamed Ibrahim alias Adan Abdikar Adan alias Adan Dheq.“I am a practicing Muslim who believes in the sanctity of human life and i had nothing to do with the murderous attack on the West gate Mall whatsoever” says Adan in his affidavitHe claims while in custody at the Kamiti Maximum Security prison, he was shown CCTV footage of the scene of the attack by the Anti Terror Police Unit, whose officers demanded that he identify some of the attackers. He said he never knew or met any of them. He never appeared on the screens since he was in his Nairobi home watching the events on television, he said.Adan denies harbouring the one of the alleged mastermind, Harir Hared Mohamed alias Mohamed Hussein at his Madrasa on or before 7 October 2013.He claims his wife and  several family members were arrested and released with no charges being preferred against them.He also accuses the police of violating his constitutional right for failure to charge him in court within the 14-day deadline. “I do not know my co-accused and had never seen them before they were bundled in the boot of the saloon car in the morning of 15 October 2013 and whom i have come to learn that the 1 accused was arrested in Kitale,2 accused in Eastleigh and the 4 accused from  Dadaaab refugee camp,” says Aden in his  affidavit.
