Two women at a Nairobi Magistrate Court in Nairobi charged with forgery.
Two women has today been charged with forgery.
Grace Njeri alias Teresia Francis and Anne Wanjiku were accused of jointly forging a certain document namely a national identity card in the name of Teresia Francis purporting it to be genuine and valid national identity card issued by the director national bureau.
They allegedly committed the of fence on January 29 at unknown place within the republic of Kenya.
The two were also charged that on the same date at family bank kayole branch they stole Sh 480,000 the property of the said family bank.
They were further charged with on January 31 at family bank kayole branch they stole Sh 900,000 the property of family bank. They also attempted to steal Sh 1.5 million from Family bank on February 3 at the said bank.
Grace Njeri alias Teresia Francis was further charged with knowingly and fraudulently uttering a national identity card in the name of Teresia Francis to Janet Cherotich a teller at the family bank.
The court ordered the accused to be served with copies of witness statements.
Acting chief magistrate Doreen Mulekyo released the a accused on a cash bill of Sh 500,000 each.
The case will be mentioned on February 28.
