SALAT ALLOWED TO FILE APPEAL BEFORE SUPREME COURT.

Former MP Nick Salat, who contested on a Kanu ticket and lost to Lesan of URP party,

The Supreme Court has come into rescue of former Member of Parliament Nick Salat by allowing him to appeal against the decision of the appellate court dismissing his application challenging the judgment of the high court.
Two judge bench Justice Mohammed Ibrahim and Dr Smokline Wajanla, said that court cannot deny a litigant an opportunity to seek justice.
They said the application by Salat seeking extension of time to file an appeal is discretion of the court.
The court takes recognizes, that the appellant may have not be satisfied by the decision of the court appeal
The judge consequently gave him fourteen days to file the appeal before the supreme court seeking to set aside the court of appeal judgment which upheld the decision of the superior court dismissing his election petition over the disputed senatorial seat in Bomet county.
