Judge Fred Ochieng has found Father Guyo and four others guilty of conspiring to kill catholic Bishop Luigi Locati a decade ago.
Six suspects have been accused of killing Bishop Luigi Locati 8 years ago. All witnesses in the case testified and lawyers made their submissions. The bishop was killed on July 14, 2005 in the Isiolo diocese.
The sixth accused Roba Balla Bariche has been acquitted after the court found him not guilty in connection with the Italian Bishop murder.
The judge said the sixth accused was not found on the scene of crime despite his gun being used in the murder of the bishop.
Sixth accused told the court during the hearing that he was told the gun will be used to hunter ostrich which they will sell and get the money.
He further added that he was not aware of any plans or knew his gun will be used to kill the father and he learnt his gun has been used to come the crime when he had the father has been killed.
Father Guyo Waqo Malley, Mohammed Molu Bagajo, Aden Ibrahim Mohamed, Mahati Ali Halake, Diqa Wario and Roba Balla Bariche were charged in 2005 with the death of Locati. During the trial, investigating officer Mohamed Amin said two men tried to kill Locati for a Sh10, 000 reward.
Amin said he established that there was a sour relationship between Fr Guyo and Locati. The bishop gave instructions that Guyo should stop soliciting for donor funds, which was his lifeline.
Justice Ochieng will sentence the five accused on Thursday.
