Businessman of Somali origin has claimed that he has been threatened after winning callback tunes disputes against directors of an investment company.
Mr Abkaziz Adan says that he secured a sub-contract from Liberty Afrika limited in July 2009 to compose Islamic Songs, Scriptures readings and prayers which he performed to satisfactory of Safari com services providers.
Thhe dispute arose when Halan Slime agencies limited filed a civil suit in commercial court seeking to paid sum of Sh 9.8 million saying that it had performed the same contract.
The court made an order in favor of Mr Adan, but because of the dispute between who was to be paid the money it was directed that the money be deposited in court to await a judgment.
Haln Slime agencies was aggrieved with the decision of the court to retain the money in its position and subsequently appealed against the ruling of the lower court.
When the matter came before Justice Alfred Mabeya, he declined to stay proceedings in the lower court as prayed by the company.
|The judge further declined to issue an injunction stopping payment of the sum to Mr Adan but instead ordered that the money remains in court custody.
The said contract was awarded to Liberty Afrika limited by Safari com but the Agency company and Somali Embassy in Nairobi staked claim of the contract.
However the lawyer representing Mr Dan Mr Ezekiel Wafula says Liberty Afrika limited admits having sub contracted his client.
The contract required the composition of the songs by way of dignitary altering content for purposes of delivery over the internet and made available for sale mainly to mobile subscribers but not limited to Images, video with strong bias towards the sport of rugby.
